Make your own airline game

11 November 2017 - 03:13 AM

Since we have users who think they can code and users who think their ideas are the best things mankind has ever invented, it is worth the effort to facilitate them to try and fail.

There are many make your own RPG sites but the best you can find for airline games is make your own world.

With AE4 nowhere near completion, this is probably a better alternative mode of development.

What we need is:

  • Server side sandbox. Docker?
  • Persistent object  module, programmers should not use SQL / noSQL directly.
  • Authentication module, offload programmers from administrative tasks.
  • Client side sandbox. iframe / webworker?
  • UI API, since client side code is sandboxed, it needs a way to interact with players.

Anything else?

They don't have thousands of useless airports nor hundreds of useless aircraft types, but they do have a more realistic connecting pax model.

Prerequisite to opening a hub

Currently there is an artificial prerequisite that you need to control at least 5 gates / terminals, which bares no essence with the abundance cash. The suggestion is, the airport has to carry at least 20% of your total passengers before you can open a hub there. Any better criteria?
