Clearly if the player is ranked #1, it can't be that flawed. More often than not, the shutting down of airlines can be attributed to lack of spare time to care for airlines.

Ya, the skyrocket up then quit when dealing with route invasion gets difficult.  Super scam routes are always my #1 route to put more normal service on.

hi all..... my airline is GARUDA INDONESIA AIRLINE. I have question regarding bond/loan. One time i take loan but all has been paid except for amount of 22,500. its still there no matter high profit i get. But recently i have a notice that the overdue has not been paid (The interest payment due on 1/1/2013 for bond #188, was not paid because you had insufficient funds. This bond is now in default! The creditor will attempt to collect the overdue payment(s) in 12 days). My Question is.... how i can pay the overdue? i have tried to pay in all navigation key , i couldn't get it. If its automatically payment process by the computer, how come it didn't pay but i have a lot of profit???? Help me please???? thank you all for your support

Bonds are always payed automatically.  Have enough money in 12 days to pay it.

I feel I am doing fine it is just confusing why others are so far ahead at this stage of the game.

The trick is likely this

  1. Underserver a big route, have like x1 weekly service with 13 Y pax when demand is 2000.
  2. Increase ticket prices, you can go as high as tripple sometimes.
  3. ????
  4. Profit!

Its more pronounced in the no lease world, but would work just as well early on in a leasing world.   Maybe even better,  cause leases are way cheaper.

That said, its a marathon, not a sprint.  Just grow naturally and focus on consistent profit.

I loved AE when I first started playing it, but I only was interested for a few weeks because it got very repetitive quickly. I got bored of just buying planes and adding more routes.

The thing that would get me most interested in the game would become more of a sandbox game in a way. To "win" in AE, I feel like I need to expand my airline.

I kind of agree.

The only 'winning' way is to get big.  Of course, this is how real airlines 'win'.

Maybe if there were things to do with money other than expand to get more money and some victory condition that uses them.

Where AE is now feels kinda like a game of Civilization where the only way to win is military.  All the wonders, building, culture, and tech are second to the military.

I think, even if it is a bit game we need other ways to 'win', after all for many why play if not to 'win'.

As much as I miss Midwest, I would probably goo ULCC like Spirit to be honest.

Everyone hates Spirit, says they will never fly them again, but they make money hand over fist.
