Cannot open certain routes

Posted by scotiangold on 06 December 2011 - 05:14 AM

I have aircraft with more than ample range, new from the factory 140hrs. When I click to add flights it does not show any aircraft to select, where typically I would have a selection of aircraft with the drop down menu to select the number of flights. Any ideas why it would happen for certain routes but not others?

Have you checked the range and runway requirements? and which routes are you having this problem with?

OK. One route didn't meet the runway requirements. However the other one is YYZ to DAL. 1193mi , DAL has the shortest of the two runways at 8800. Both my A318 and EMB 170LR could land there.

The Wright Amendment restricts DAL routes to a certain range.

So does this mean if I use aircraft with 56 seats or less I can fly this route?

If the aircraft is certified for 56 seats or less you should be able to.

It works! But DAL has to be the departure location. It won't work if I select YYZ first, then DAL. Thanks for the help, I wasen't aware of those restrictions in the states.

Ah, now that is a problem. We'll get that fixed soon :P

Can you check if this is fixed now? :P

But why can't I fly out of DCA and LGA with a CRJ 200LR has less than 58 seats and a range of 2300 miles, more then recired for DCA-AUS

DCA and LGA have simple range limits not dependent on aircraft size.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but YTZ is limited to turboprop operation. A few players seem to be flying A319-100's.

The runway in YTZ was extended to fit Q400s, unfortunately this also allows A319s to fly into YTZ.

That is unfortunate, however, last I checked, not sure if its possible or to date, but due to noise regulations, mainly those living in the waterfront condos, jets are explicitly prohibited from operating out of City Center. Might be worth looking into.
