If I am correct, the range for the HS-748 is incorrect. It is listed at being over 1,900 miles. Wikipedia says that it is 1,066 miles. Airliners.net says that the range with max payload and fuel is 735 miles for the basic version. The super version goes 926 miles.

The version in AE is the Super version.
Also, we use the maximum range in AE. This is how far the aircraft can travel when it is carrying no passengers and a full tank of fuel.
The figures you quote are correct, but for when the aircraft is full - naturally an empty aircraft will fly further.
The game reduces how far an aircraft can travel - if you fit out with only 1 Y seat, you'll be able to fly 1900 miles, as you would in real life. If you fill it, you'll see a reduction in how far it can travel, hence why we use the maximum range.
