For background, can I ask which calculations you made to get your 50,000 figure?

I've looked at the data held for the Yak-42 and it does seem correct. We are having a few issues with fuel costs across the game, but I'd like to double check this.

The cost for fuel in the route specified above is 53,070. That comes from the list of costs from operating that route.

I've just opened a few routes using a Yak-42 and it seems reasonable to me. Russian aircraft of that era are known for being inefficient when it comes to fuel burn. This is why they are usually much cheaper than more efficient aircraft of the era.

However, you may be suffering from a different already known bug, which is being worked on, where you can be charged too much for fuel.
