EZE Route Demands

Posted by LatinAngel on 20 November 2016 - 04:15 AM

Hey Sorry If this is not the correct place to post this, but I have a Belief that my routes from EZE Have a way too low passenger demand. Especially seeing that airport high demand routes.

Currently, the demand at EZE and infact all AE airports are taken off official statistics as published by the relevant airport authorities/governments etc, However I will look into this for you :)

That can't be right Zipp,

WTB in Australia shows 19,000 in game (r1, September 1963).

WTB had 6,037 PAX in 2014.

WTB had 89,200 PAX in 2015.

The airport also didn't exist before 2013 (Construction started April 2013)

I am well aware that WTB did not exist before 2013, however AE cannot actively open and close airports and thus, they must receive demand from the get go and thus, pax numbers are modeled using crazy mathematics and crap.

However, there is light.

coming in AE4, airports *should* be able to be opened and closed and (hopefully) have realistic passenger demands based on year to year data

The data collection is done by a voulenteer perspective so updating of airport pax numbers takes time as well as finding reliable information.

in game the yearly pax number (demand) is by data collection however the actual pax numbers ingame shown on the airport statistics page is depending on the airlines serving it therfore it can create unlikly high numbers and low numbers depending on the ingame popularity.

At any time feel free to report any changes to this team and they will assist and investigate.

Thanks for the assist.

I think the issue here is that in real life there are no intercontinental (and a very small number of regional) destinations from AEP so all that demand is shifted to EZE. In AE you can have intercontinental flights from AEP so that demand is divided into two airports, to fully exploit that demand you would need to have flights from both airports to the same destination, at least that's what I do.
