Boeing 777-300ER S1

Posted by Dtayl01-10 on 20 March 2015 - 08:53 PM

I am concerned about the maximum runway length required for landing the Boeing 777-300ER. In real life, Dublin handles 3 Boeing 777-300ER a day and in Airline Empires it says all Boeing 777-300ER's can't land at Dublin due to the runway being too short, could you please look into this?

All 777-300ER's operating to Dublin take a significant weight penalty hit I believe.Boeing 777-300ER Takeoff : 3260m, Landing : 1920m *Payload Limited" , Dublin runway length 7501 ft (2286 m) long. They can land normally but I have had friends that flew DXB-DUB on 77W and they reported significant amount of seats were blocked out in the aircraft. They also take off with the minimum required fuel allocated and also take a cargo penalty hit. But they still operate to DUB. So I also vote for this to be changed to allow for 77W operations abeit with weight restrictions to keep it accurate. Although different engine options can change the operating conditions obviously.

My old airline based in Ireland had this problem.

Currently AE assumes that every plane takes off/lands at MTOW/MLW and thus needs the provided minimum runway length.

I believe AE4 will allow aircraft to take a payload hit and landon runways shorter than the minimum length.

So, I suppose this shall get put on a shelf and never seen again :giggle:
