Penthouse Air has added over 1000 seats on this sector. The Navy bug is now set up, but not activated (yet).

Nope. I'm not making a dime. I am responding to your 11 freq. and Empire's actions.

I'm not sure if you have always has 11 freq on that route but something put me in the negatives this evening and I can not make a profit on the route as it is (and as it was).

Yes, the bug has been activated on that route. Penthouse has 2096 seats on the route on 9 different a/c so it can't be an "accident"

My route number on BOS-LGA is 37402. As you can see, I have had my 11 frequencies for quite awhile.

Excuse me? If you take a moment to look you will see that I am not making a dime on these routes. I am not a cheater. Stop pointing fingers and take your accusation back now!

Look at Empire. They did the exact same thing as me. The only difference is that I responded. I didn't start the fare war.

I'm not screwing around. I will not be called a cheater. If you are going to make accusations, ban me or have miller e-mail me.

Or better yet, get off of my route. My hub is at LGA and I was making profit on this route until someone screwed with it this evening.

BTW, if you search before you post, you will find that I have posted threads asking what the bug is. I DON"T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS OR HOW TO ACTIVATE IT@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't people just play this game fairly, and stop bitching?

I'm not finished. I was one of the original members from PAI and I am a member/founder the PAI alliance. We have very specific rules about cheating and it is not tollerated. As a result, I will not tollerate being labeled as a cheater. This game has bugs. I don't have any idea how to exploit them. I have been in the top 20 since the last reset and nothing has changed. I am still in the top 20. I want an apology and I want it now!

Do you people want these forums to be a community or do you want them to be a outlet for bitching and finger pointing? The choice is yours. Look at the numberous posts in the bugs forum about the Navy bug and I think you will find the answer.

Well, then you are not the person that messed up my profit this evening. I have been running a A319 on that route for a long time. As I said, tonight something changed. I can no longer make a profit at any price. LGA is my hub, BOS is my neighbor. I'm servicing the cities - profit or not.

This is called competition and I am responding. In the real world, I guess you could sue me and I bet some socialist judge would side with you.

Well, guess i missed much while in a university lecture!!!!! :P

Can we all try to be friendly at least???

Honestly, on one side, i know Chicken is trying to "highlight" the offending parties that "presumably" have either seemed to have high prices or too many seats on a route and are trying possibly to active the bug.

However, im still not sure that Duckbilled is cheating on the route. There needs to a degree of hard evidence, like proof that it is actually happening and that Duckbilled is quilty of trying to activate the Navy Bug. I too could have gotten those numbers from the Market Research option on the airport list, so whats the difference there.

If we are going down this road, anyone with over 1000 seats on any route will be frownded upon and be scrutinised on the AE forums, which is something i do not wish to see, like my fellow AE members.

I am not either - there is too much capacity on the route.

If it was not intentional, then I apologise. But it appears you have unintentionally overloaded the route.

No they did not. The Empire group (Kiwi and Cape Air) have provided 1242 seats. You have provided 2454 seats. All others have provided 742 seats. Clearly that is too much. The issue is not frequency but seats.

BTW - 2454 seats is just about equivalent to five A380s flying the route.

I also have 21 gates in LGA. Sorry - any route out of LGA is not automatically "yours" simply because you have a hub or lots of gates.

It is hard to believe that a person that has been around as long as you claim does not know what the Navy bug is, but it is a bug that causes all load factors to go to 100%. People with large passenger movements and high fares rake in the money. Many of us actively fought The Navy from abusing the bug, and it was painful, and I do not want to go through that again. Hence my diligence in publically posting any possible abuse of the bug. Your large passenger movements, combined with your flights being listed at the bottom of the airlines flying the sector (on my screen - which I assumed means those at the bottom are the last to enter the route), meant you were a candidate. Granted you did not have high fares, but those can be changed.

I was not sure either - which is why the topic title is a question instead of a statement. But because of the difficulty in fighting the Navy bug before, I still think going public as soon as a route is at risk is the best policy.

And ... when I last checked the BOS-LGA route, the bug was activated. It is now deactivated.

Don't worry, Rubber Chicken knows all about the Navy Bug and frequently exploited it in the name of "research" while making tons of money.

And yes, the Empire group is purposely flooding the route to make it unattractive to everybody. If you want to continue dumping capacity on it and not making any money, go for it. That's the intent.

I've been around since the first run of this game and I don't even know how to activate the Navy bug. Rubber Chicken is the expert here on activating it. He's also the one dumping capacity on any number of routes.

There's no rule about overloading a route. And don't go assuming somebody is cheating just because they're doing something you don't like (and something you've done in the past yourself).

I have no clue how to activate the bug, although when I tried putting my 757 on a route, setting my ticket prices to one price (I can't even remember what it was, this happened Monday), load factors hit 100%. Anyways, I decided not to make the route because I wasn't getting a dime.

Another interesting thing is, that on any route i am on with rubber chicken .. i cant make that much money, like 2k at max @ a ticket price of 200 or 300 with 90% LF....

I second that one, ruber chicken is killing the profit on some of my routes as well.

TUS-PHX 17 Frequencies $15.00 while everybody else have prices between $70.00 to $160.00

I have similar situations, but I'm not going to start a thread making accusations.

After all, Chicken might just be "experimenting to understand the bug" and not using it for money making purposes..... or so he claims.

Chicken used the bug to fight the Navy, chicken has grown to have the largest fleet. Chicken makes tons of money. CHicken comes on a route and makes profits, well disappear.

Fry the chicken... btw, duckbilled has done nothing wrong...

Hmm... so is it an indication of the navy bug when an airline has a fare higher than mine with a lot of seats in the market... and I set my fare to 50% of theirs and still can barely break 50% load factor?

Hey, kill that. Chicken doesn't exploit the bug, and all you have is an accusation. Now let's all just chill out, remember it's JUST A BLOODY GAME and put it all in perspective. Just because he's doing well does not mean he's cheating, he's just been here for far longer than anyone in this thread, knows the best routes, and how to get the best results LEGALLY. So you can take that lie about him cheating back.
