Currently there are 8 columns on the "Routes" page

+ Route number
+ Aircraft Number
+ Aircraft
+ City Pair
+ Frequency
+ Load Factor
+ Profit
+ Detailed Info

I would like to see a ninth column, with a refresh hot-button. The refresh would re-calculate the route with the exact same plane, the exact same frequency, and the exact same fare. It would be a labour saving device to better help managing fluctuating fares (I have one route that when I refresh it, the revenue increases by almost $100000 per day).

For the occasional time that the plane has -1 hours available, the refresh hot-button would not be active.

f5 refreshes the screen. My idea would refresh the route. Currently, to refresh a route, you must

1) find the route
2) click "info"
3) click change frequency or click change ticket price
4) enter the frequency (I do not want to change it, so same frequency as current)
5) enter the fare (I do not want to change it, so same fare as current)
6) click calculate revenue
7) update route

Nice idea Chicken and yes indeed would same me the trouble of looking for the affected routes and then to reprice them all just to get back to the original profit on the route if i can. If something like this was implemented, it could save quite some time for those who have more than 15 pages of routes :P

:D :D

How lazy can we get?? :D Too bad for those of you have more than 15 pages. hehe :D

Good idea Chicken would make it easier. Takes too much time just to go around fixing all of the routes. I see your starting to use those chicken brains. :P

Nice idea.

But what about one way routes where the cost gets recalculated for a round trip when you try to reset the price or frequency?

I have no experience yet with one-way flights in AE3 - difficult to fly a Beech one way. :P

There are other ways to refresh a route. You can change aircraft, then change back to the original aircraft. What happens to the one-way costs when you do that?

Hmm...I never tried that. I will once I get a spare aircraft. Thanks for the idea.

Still...it would be nice if the load factor/profit script gets fixed. :P

You do not need a spare aircraft (but it takes a bit more effort). Close a route (this frees a plane) swap planes, swap back, the restore the original route.
