In the beginning of the game people constantly search the markets for aircraft to get to help them grow. It is not odd to see them empty for the first year or so.

So you (the developers etc) are not running a test on the used aircraft market ?

Because in the first beta worlds it seemed that there was more used aircraft
even with 3x the number of airlines at the beginning of the first beta worlds.

It's not a bug - in the beginning people rarely sell aircraft, and they quickly snap up aircraft that do get sold.

Also, the last beta ran at 10x speed instead of 3x, so as leases expired as idle airlines were abandoned, more aircraft were probably put on the market. And there weren't 3 times as many airlines in the beginning - the limit was increased several times later in the game.

In realistic 1970 there's a vibrant used aircraft market.

Of course, all those planes come and go quickly. They all seem to come from seemingly throw away accounts (hint: their airline name is just a bunch of numbers, they never start a route) that order a ton of planes only to default on the lease and sit idle. And then there's that one airline that, coincidentally, operates a fleet consisting almost exclusively of the types of planes that these throw away accounts ordered. That airline also has a fleet that is double the size of the next competitor, despite only ever ordering 8 new planes on its own paper.

I know it's just a beta run, but it still takes the fun out of it if the rules are not followed.

Don't worry, the person responsible for this blatant and rampant cheating will be dealt with very soon, and it'll be a massive waste of time for him. ;)

And we'll have 75+ 732s flooding the market right? :P

I dont see the point of cheating, I mean then that ruins the fun for everyone including the person thats cheating because then its not a challenge. This game is suppose to be challenging, and its not challenging when you have enough aircraft to become a major carrier right of the bat

You, sir, are not considering the fact that there are many people around the Internet that don't want a challenge; All they want is to be think and, most likely, scream "LOLZ I RUL3Z N00BZ...L2P!" with their screechy, pre-pubescent little voices :(

Can we have a "report cheaters" system? A guy in the 1970s world just happens to have 30 747-100s when they've only been out for a few months - with none on order.

Why on earth would you want to cheat like that in an airline simulation game?

Oh my god here we go again :). If the n00bs aka WaltBren looked at how the game works before accusing people of cheating then the world would be a better place. I've been playing this game for more than 5 years thank you very much. I have one account and only one account. I bought those 747's off the used market fair and square. My advice is watch the used market and if you don't have enough money to buy anything learn how to play the game first.

And those 20 747s came from the airline of the person who cheated...

I do think a report player option is a good idea, however the staff might not want to go through lots of false reports....

Speaking of cheaters, I think there's a guy in AE4 who has multiple accounts who uses the name of a well known airline that collapsed in the early 1990s
PS: The guy in the 1970 beta is back. Just sayin

I think there should be a block, which prevents multiple forum accounts from one IP (I dont know if thats in place already). also have a system where if a player has more than one airline in one game world, prevent their airlines from buying used aircraft from the used market

I would like to share the below, but PLEASE, I am not a cheater, I discover this by chance!!

I started two airlines in Beta3.1(1990) at the beginning and based one in Europe and one in China. The one in Europe is good because no cheater is appeared. However, the one in China is a nightmare....

My airline in China facing severe competition just the 2nd month in 1990 (2 months from the beginning). That rival airline has 9 733 (age of 3.17-which means all are terminated starting aircraft) in the 2nd month?! How come an airline can lease/buy such a huge amount of terminated 733 in one month?! It is meaningless to compete with such a cheater so I have no choice, but bankrupt my airline in China.

After I have bankrupted my airline in China, I found that all my aircraft are put on 2nd hand market immediately. It is just a chance for cheater to take!! They can establish numbers of airlines and bankrupt them to transfer the aircraft!!

Shall we think of it and take action?

This has been abused since the beginning of time...it's a never ending cat and mouse game, and big cheaters are punished appropriately.

Now that you bring it up, I will make it so the random delay on used aircraft also apply to liquidated aircraft at bankruptcy. :)
