Copying liveries.

Recently it has come to my attention that certain people have been claiming certain liveries as their own. With or without modification. An Air Canada livery from its site, a modified JetAbout Southwest airlines E-190, and a modified KLM aircraft spring to mind.
THIS IS ALMOST ALWAYS ILLEGAL.
Furthermore, it's hardly in the spirit of livery designing. It's not hard to think up an original design, or even paint one like the real thing yourself. Taking an image, modifying in and then saying 'i made it' does not make it yours. We can tell this, usually very easily. In the end, you look like an idiot, and it's a downhill spiral from there.
If you need advice, I'm sure one of the many experienced AE painters will be happy to help you.
Thanks.

simply put, if your creating a livery, make sure its your material and if your doing a replice, dont claim it as yours.

copying someone else's own creation, such as if I took 4Es Lufthansa and put my name on it, is what is not allowed.

I don't think this is really necessary to be honest: if people don't have enough common sense to abide by such basic principles then it's their own damn fault when they find they're being ranted at.

Is it okay if I use things like pre-determined logos etc. on a livery if I don't try to claim it as mine. I never put any form of signature on them and I have never claimed I have designed everything myself.

Ignore the dumb answer above. It's down to transparency on the logo. If you open it and save it in MS Paint it'll be back to normal.okey guy's. I don't know anything about any of that, all that stuff above me.... but i

I dont understand why people do that anyway! Or why people copy and steal others original designs.
