the production of the md-11 ends at 1999. i am now at 1995. if i now order about 40 md-11's, then they will deliverd in 2000, order i more then in 2001/02 etc.
but will they then deliver? because the production ends at 1999.

The order/lease sytem on AE works so that if it says Production "End" it will only be the closure of the order books of that airlplane. any airlines that still have aircrat orders for that type will still get their planes delivered on a normal schedule.

Example

Airline A orders 100 planes 10 years before production end he will get them all before the production end.
Airline B orders also 100 planes but that is 1 day before production end, but airline B will also get their airplanes on the same delivery rate as airline A

So both Airline A and Airline B will get their planes, the end of production is only the date of order book closure.

well, most aircraft go out of production when demand dries up, so its unrealistic in the way that theres a set date, but realistic in that if you order lots, the orders still get through
