Airline ID : 5633
I think there is a problem with aircraft valuation when buying / selling to the bank.
The problem usually occurs when there are more aircraft of one type for sale.
Say for example there are 10 a333's for sale the value of these will not be 125M each but 100M , if there are 5 it will probably be about 110M etc etc ...
I have bought 3 747D's twice to try and prove this. Buying for 109 ansd selling for 136M ?

This is an unintended side effect of the discount for buying/selling planes in batches. When you sell, the bank will buy each aircraft for its full value (they pay more if you sell a whole fleet). Should this be reversed?
I can understand that batch explanation if it concerned aircraft that were available from manufacturers and it was many aircraft but the last example represents a single Concorde. I can't see anyone with a whole fleet of Concordes or 747D's for that matter.
I bought 5 a380's before for 230M each? That's a nice discount on 5 frames

I've tried it out and the problem mentioned is everywhere in the used aircraft buy/sell option. Every time you buy a (preferably old) plane from the market you can sell it immediately back for a good profit. Old planes (that is, planes not in production) give a profit of about ~50%. I've noticed a player (pm me for name/id) has sold $3bn worth of planes inn the first 13 days of November and a total of more than $6bn in the last two and a half months! Even if you disregard the obvious advantage this gives to a player, you can not miss that fact that it ruins the game since aircraft are instantly bought the minute they are available only to be sold back and so on. The players really wanting a plane may not even get a chance. Please fix this and make buying and selling a (used) plane an unprofitable action as it would be in real world.
Nick.
I know which airline is taking advantage of this alot but it's not exactly cheating so until the new version is ready it will probably stay as it is as Yuxi is busy with much better things :eureka:.
The best thing might be to discontinue adding older planes for the time being. Most of them are useless anyway.

I agree. I just read this bug as i was getting ready to report it. I didn't notice until I saw airlines buying the same a/c 3-6 times.

ok so the developers are busy. lets fix this ourselves. I think I found a solution. I will start this buy sell thing and with the money I'll made I will buy useless old aircraft (old Concords and DC10s) and mothball them. Do you think this would be acceptable?
Yes, that's what I do
