Cardinal Airways to San Antonio

October 5,

Louisville, KY- Cardinal Airways will fly to San Antonio from Louisville, the home base and headquarters of the airline. The airline will fly three daily flights with Beech 1900 aircraft. The service will be upgraded to an EMB 145ER January of next year.

San Antonio is the 50th destination the airline operates out of its base airport. All the passengers on the first flight were given a free ticket to fly to any city the airline flies to.

The airline also announced it would be opening a hub but didn't give a date. Along with this news the CEO said due to the airport authority of Louisville preventing the airline from renting anymore gates that it would build up a focus city. The airline declined to name the city.

Airline information: Cardinal Airways is the largest airline operating at Louisville with more than 200 daily flights. The airline operates a mixed fleet of aircraft.

Cardinal Airways adds new destinations

November 4,

Louisville, KY- Cardinal Airways has added Denver, Oklahoma City, San Jose and Seattle. The airline will operate the 737 on the four new routes. All cities have daily service except Denver which is twice daily.

Cardinal Airways buys 767400ER

Louisville, KY- Cardinal Airways has chosen Boeing for long-haul aircraft. The airline has purchased two 767-400ERs with five options . The airline expects the aircraft to be deliver in six months. Along with this order the airline also purchased two more 737-700s. This will bring the total of 737-700s to 12.

Cardinal Airways plans to place the aircraft on transatlantic and on flights to destinations in the Pacific. The airline also said that it was in talks with Airbus, Boeing and Embraer to add one or two new types of aircraft to the fleet. At the moment the airline is studying the aircraft that all three manufacturers offer.

Cardinal Airways places more Boeing orders

Chicago- Cardinal Airways and Boeing have sign a contract for more Boeing airplanes. The airline has placed an order for four 737-700s and one 767-400ER.

The airline just last month placed an order for two 767-400ERs and two 737-700s.

Cardinal Airways opens more destinations

Louisville,KY- Cardinal Airways has open two transatlantic routes out of Louisville and offers more access to NYC with the introduction JFK to the route network.

The transatlantic flights are flown with 767-400ERS. The airline offers twice daily JFK service with an ERJ145 and a 737-700.

The airline would also like to report that all of of the prices on the reservation system are back to normal after there was a massive hack into the "Universal Reservation Price System." Cardinal Airways will honor the tickets of passengers who bought them $160.

Cardinal Aiways Launches Subsidiary

Louisville, KY- Cardinal Airways at a press conference at its headquarters announced the launch of Cardinal Airways EU.

Cardinal Airways EU is the new subsidiary that will be based in Europe. The airline said it would announce the city the airline would be based at a later date. The new subsidiary will help the parent company spread traffic going from the US to other European cities that are not profitable to operate from its hub. Besides flying passengers from the parent company the flying public in Europe will have another choice of airline. Alliance members will also benefit from the new subsidiary.

The Cardinal Airways EU will gain the 717 fleet and more ERJ 145s from the parent company. At the moment the subsidiary has one Embraer 145 flying between major European cities.

At the press conference the airline also announced it had placed an order for three Boeing 737-800s. The airline also said it is still studying to add two more types of aircraft to the fleet either from Airbus or Boeing.

Cardinal Airways Announces Retirement of Last Prop

Los Angeles- Louisville base airline Cardinal Airways announced that it will be retire the last prop aircraft, within 6 to 9 months.

The airlines' sole prop aircraft a Q300 will be flown to Louisville. The airline will have a ceromony where all employees can sign their name on the aircraft. Employees will also be taken for rides on board the aircraft. Once the airline has performed its last flight it will be given water cannon salute by the SDF airport fire department.

The aircraft will be isolated for three hours while mechanics and engineers clean all toxic liquids and chemicals from the airplane. Then the aircraft will be wheeled to one of Cardinal Airways hangars. In the here the airplane will be given its last good bye.

Once all employees have said good bye to the aircraft, hammers and screwdrivers will be given to employees and family members. When the CEO has given a kiss to the airplane and last good bye, all employees will charge the airplane and will be able to take a piece of it home. ;) Once the employees are done grabbing a souvenir the public will be allowed to have a go at the aircraft.

The CEO of the airline said the only part of the airplane no one will be allowed to touch is the tail. The airline will place the tail with the airlines logo in the concorse where the airline is located.

Cardinal Airways orders more 737s

Chicago- Cardinal Airways and Boeing have signed a contract for five more 737-700s. The airline said it is happy with the aircraft that they have plans to purchase more. The airline said that it received all of the 737-800s that were order four months ago. The airline and Boeing are in talks for the purchase of more of 738s. At the moment the airline operates 16 737-700s and 6 737-800s.

The airline also said that it will bring in more 767-400s. A date hasnt been set for the purchase. The airline at the moment owns 4
767-400s. Sources also say the airline and Boeing are close to signing a contract for 777s, but didnt mention which type.

Cardinal Airways orders Airbus Jets

Louisville,KY- Cardinal Airways today along with Airbus announced the order of three A330-300s.

This came as an unexpected move as the airline was expected to order new Boeing jets. The airline said the new jets will be launched on new transatlantic routes once they are delivered. "The A330-300 offers the range and passenger capacity the airline will need for the new routes we are going to open." said the CEO of Cardinal Airways. The airline decline to name any new routes.

The airline said it will continue to be one Boeings biggests customers.

Cardinal Airways orders Ten 737-700s

Chicago- Cardinal Airways and Boeing have signed a contract for ten 737-700s. The airline will open up new routes with the new aircraft from certain focus cities in the U.S. and upgrade other routes out of its hub in Louisville.

The airline at the moment operates 21 737-700s. When all ten aircraft are delivered the airline will have a fleet of 31. The airline also operates six 737-800s and said it will have a similiar size order sometime in May or June of this year.

Chicago- Cardinal Airways signed a contract with Airbus for five A330-300s. The airline said it will continue expanding the fleet with this type of aircraft and opening new routes.

Cardinal Airways Orders A330-200

Louisville, Ky-- Cardinal Airways has chosen the A330-200 as the next aircraft to join the fleet. The airline placed orders for two of the aircraft. The airline said the A332s will complement the fleet of A333s. At the moment the airline operates eight A333s. The airline also placed an order for two A333s.

Cardinal Airways Places orders with Airbus and Boeing

Louisville, Ky-- Cardinal Airways gathered both Airbus and Boeing executives at its headquarters to sign contracts for new orders. The airline signed a contract with Airbus for six A330-300s. Once all of the A333s are delivered the airline will have 16 in its fleet.

The airline also signed a contract with Boeing for 21 737-800s. The airline will have a fleet of 55 738s when all aircraft are delivered.
