I understand thatOccasionally a Qantas 747 (distinguished by its red rear end) and an A380 (dunno which airline's) flying high above the clouds, probably beginning to descend into SIN

You know when your friends ask you questions about that sort of thing; they know you can answer them.
For example, my friends and I saw a SkyWest CRJ-200 coming into BTM really low. They were concerned and asked me why it was coming in lower than normal. I gave them the simple answer of "Because a n00b is flying it".

Or some that maybe they do, like what that noise just was. There's the flaps. There's the gear. THRUST REVERSERS!

29) You look at which aircraft is operating the flight rather than the timing.

I get propellor traffic heading into Sugarland Regional. Ocasionally, a Southwest 737 flies over our house towards Hobby. I'm a plane enthusiast, definetly, I'm flying an around the world flight right now, and I'd LOVE to go into a cockpit of a jet plane one day.

This really happened...
*G4 MD-80 comes in low overhead, on approach to BTM*
Lady near me: "When did Allegiant start flying here?"
Me: "When they took over the casino junket to Wendover."
Yeah, I'm a nerd.

ehmagod, i found my heaven in this forum and website!
i am soooo enthusiast!!
all the things you share here is so me... (except the pilot part)
and i always annoy my friend by telling them any information about aircrafts which fly over our head... or telling about ANY part of an aircraft when we have a trip by plane... and my friends will always call me first to get to know anything related to aviation...
i even know so well the lifesaver demo performed by stewardess!!
(doesnt mean i want to be stewardess, i just dont want to miss ANYTHING while im transporting by plane...)

i am crazy for safety videos. My favorites are V Australia, Delta, and Air France's. I have memorized almost all of V Australia's. I watch them everyday. I probably have seen safety videos more then a very very frequent traveler.
(oh and you can tell a 762 from a 763, that's too easy! Anyone can do that... duh)

I am totally an enthusiast! My uncle always quizzes me on airline's hub cities and such. My house is right under a major approach to ORD. We get lots of A340's, B777's, B747's and of course, the domestic traffic. I love spotting the VS flights from LHR in the summer. There was one before that flew in really low and was in some type of special livery. It was fantastic. Another, we saw the first special Eithad Airways plane to fly into ORD. An Airbus A340-500. Ahhh......
