Really enjoying the new game, however, normally routes via Miami and Atlanta are very popular on last game e.g MIA-Cancun; MIA-Atlanta; MIA- San Juan etc and make not huge amounts but enough to make it worth while, this game did a quick market research just to make sure yup fine, bought the gates but returning a loss? Any ideas:thumbdown: :eureka:
Yes , read the reply of Yuxi below you :eureka:

Try editing the route again, entering the price again and updating again. It should reflect the real load factors / prices.

The gameplay is to slow???
The game started 10 days ago.
In 10 days, i was able to acquire 2 A319, 6 Q400, for a total profit per month of 20 - 25 millions.
I don't see how that is to slow...
Maybe you guys are all running the same routes in North America or something, in which case it is normal that you are not making a cent out of your routes...
As it currently stands: after 1 month, the top 50 players will probably be worth around 500M bucks.
If you guys want to speed things up, we would approach 1.5 Billion in 30 days (exponential growth), which would mean we would have to reset every 1 or 2 months.
Who wants to play a game where all your time and efforts are gone every 6 weeks? Not me.

However, what I am saying is that if we speed the game up, then airlines will be so huge in about a month's time that there will be a reset every month.
Would you consider a game with resets every 4 weeks fun?

I mean is it realistic to have it where there are regions South America, Africa and Oceania where airlines can't produce a reasonable profit?
Is it fair enough for new players coming into this game midway through and there aren't growth opportunities left?
Is the number of active players in this game increasing or are people leaving?

I thought the point of Sim2 was to be as a test vehicle to find out what works properly so it can be implemented into Sim1. Isn't that the reason smaller airports and changed LF's were added in S2?
Well, any chances in sim2 will be staying in sim2. Due to the fact that Sim1 is still currently only accessed by Miller and probably doesnt want anyone doing any chances to it, as it is his "baby" so to speak.

Billion dollar airlines are not huge. After all only 1 A380 is worth 300 million plus. I remember when we had airlines that were worth multi trillion dollars. And why would we need a reset after 4 weeks. We didn't require that last reset. The length of rounds should really be between 2 and 3 months length. Anyway back to the point of this thread which was the lower profit. The profit is too low and there are a lot of airports that are just useless in the game now. The profit was lowered during the last round now it is even lower. It is evident that there are fewer airlines playing this game and leaving because really it is not as much fun now. It is not fun just running a small regional airline. It is also harder for newer members when joining up in the middle of the game to build up as there are fewer opportunities.

Hmmm, where have I heard this argument before
Totally agree with you but it's been chewed over many times and is still work in progress at the moment. Until the smaller cities make money the game is not really playable.
And there needs to be a new ranking system so more people can set different goals. Having a ranking system per region and/or type of airline will make things much more competitive.
As it stands now and has been in the past (I can tell you from personal experience) is the people who get a good start , do nothing all day but play AE will get to the top of the rankings and stay there until the game resets, been there , done that!
