Is there any information regarding the reset of Sim 1?

Sim1 is under Miller's direction right now, plus I think Miller would be interested in some of the data changes to sim2 at the reset, to this I wouldnt think sim1 will reset tomorrow.

I don't think there is any need for a reset yet,
its still pretty easy to make money on routes etc $$

And you can make money with jets without , swapping planes? I know I could not.

The only real money I've been able to find seems to be in brokering to the big guys. You can still make money with an F27, but as Glennos said, using Jets w/o swapping is hard even with a strong hub.

I forsee another debate coming... all I can say to the people with massive airlines in sim 1 that will say theres still plenty of oppertunity and yada yada yada to protect there perfect airline... It's gone on for long enough, it's way overdue for a reset, and most people don't even log into there airlines anymore. Trust me theres nothing left to be gained in sim1... just because you have 1,000,000,000,000 dollars in the game, doesn't mean it's real and you can cash it out.......

It's beyond time for a reset, but I realize miller has to do the sim2 reset first, so i'll wait till that's done before I jump back on this topic.

Miller isnt involved right now on sim2 Tobias and I have made thses changes - however if there is an issue with sim1, I will ask Courtney to consider a reset providing this is warrented.

Well, I just had a look and there are no gates anywhere, well 250 odd at ORD but if you can't fly anywhere form there then it's pointless.

Not that I will be playing sim 1 but just to add my thoughts

Point taken, like you I am so time taken within sim2 that I have not looked at sim1 for a while - Now noted and will talk to Courtney over weekend.

Contacted Miller for a Sim1 reset yesterday - he will restart it on sunday.

And, can the " change aircraft" feature be removed so that we can see that it's not possible to make money with jets at all?

It won't reset the clock, just the game. You'll restart in the next month of the game after its reset and still continue forward.

Hmmm... well i hope the jet issue becomes fixed first if that's the case

I don't think it is a jet issue. It has to due with something that was done to make the 1946 version more realistic in terms of financial data. I'm not sure if this was something that was supposed to automatically adjust by year or decade, or if it is something that needs to be adjusted on each reset.

well then how do you expect people to fly in that sim? your gonna have all of wat? 2 plane types flying all of which dont even seat 55 pax until '81?

i dont see the need for a reset. if anything just add more gates like what was done in the past... but it would be nice to see it run its course and not have to start over.
