I second what Royal Khmer is saying about Sim2. There is plenty of room for additional routes.
Besides once routes get "saturated", part of the fun of the game is being competitive and adjusting your planes, routes and gates to make more profit. If you are a large airline, you can afford to lose money or make significantly less than the competition on a route and force a smaller airline off the route or even out of business. Is this ufair? I don't think so, an owner worked hard to build his airline to have the ability to do that, why should he be punished? Real life airlines do this all the time.
I think resets have happened too soon in the past, I understand the need if there is a technical reason. That being said, each time there has been a reset improvements have been made to the game to decrease the need for resets caused by technical issues.
One adjustment I'd like to see in the future is the elimination of "inactive" airlines. There should be a requirement for a airline owner to login say every year (gametime) if nothing else to show that they are still playing the game. If that time expires an email could go out to remind the person that there airline is still there and that they need to log in or their routes will be closed, gates returned & aircraft sold. Keep their account open with the money from the profits and sale of their airplanes so if they come back at a later date they don't start from the beginning. As long as they log in they keep playing. There shouldn't be a requirement to buy planes or lease gates or adjust routes, just a log in.

I just had this crazy idea.... what if players could choose to either run an airline, or run an airport... Think on that for a second, because a player running an airport could choose what airlines to lease it's gates too, and for how long. And the airport could build gates/terminals/concourses off of the revenue of charging airlines to lease at there airport. That way in a game you have two battles going on, one battle for airline supremacy, and another battle for airport supremacy. Just a thought...

Good thought:). Though it could make cheating even more possible
