If I build a terminal at an airport that currently has no gates left, but I only use 3 of the 5 gates, what happens to the rest of the gates?

I think the best way would be for them to remain in your control indefinitly, but is that really the case? My thinking is that they go back onto the airport in two game months like other unused gates.

The airport cannot repo any gates that you own as part of a terminal. Furthermore, you cannot get rid of them if you want to.

Ok. But you still have to pay monthly costs on them right? That makes sense. Thanks a lot.

Yes, but the larger the terminal the more discounted the gate costs are.
