Is sim 2 dying because of the major major airlines like KaaiElEm? Cos it seems to me there are hardly any routes he is not running. I have no gripe against it, it just seems to me that having 1,900 A380's and 1,500 A330's seems slightly unrealistic.

I know! Thankfully, I only sell planes.

In almost every world, I use the airline "Alto Airlines" unless I don't feel like it

Wouldn't have any cheap 767-300/400ER's for sale would you? or even 777-200ER.

I think the game is very unrealistic. First off, no one (in the USA at least) is going to pay $999 for a ticket on a domestic route. Aside from that, How are there A380s running to LaGuardia? Even worse, KaaiElEm runs a 5x a day flight from Niamey Niger to Baltimore on A380s for $2000 a seat. This is unrealistic for many reasons. I am not complaining because I and almost everyone exploits these unrealicies (my 2x daily A330s on LHR-CMH)

But come on, who flies from the USA to anywhere in Africa let alone 2000 people each paying $2000 to go to Niger?

Right now (as far as I know) there are NO airlines operating direct flights from the USA to ANYWHERE in Africa, but KaaiElEm runs fligthts from like 5 hubs (in Africa) to basicly every US destination AND makes profit.

This is a tad unrealistic, much more unrealistic than running a flight from STN to COS. Or flying an A380 into LaGuardia.

I really think there should be something done to fix this and soon.

Slight correction, my airline (FlyWorld Airlines) runs a once daily 767 service to Cairo and Lagos, Nigeria from our hub in Atlanta, and the only one that I think would be profitable also would be to Jo'Burg. Apart from that it doesn't seem right that anywhere else would benefit from A380 service. Other than MAYBE Dakar, Nairobi and possibly Algeirs.

Sigh *** I already mentioned that the LF in Africa are messed up last round but seeing as no one takes any notice I fear your just wasting your energy posting about it.

If you want I can mention a few more "unrealistic" routes like 20x HND - LAX or all the flights from LAX to LAS or PHX or whatever, there's loads more I could choose from.

And as for all my planes I order, so what what do you expect me to spend my billions of dollars on, Beeches? I already buy terminals everywhere to get rid of the cash :P

Current cash reserves top 350 billion , current DOP is 1.5 billion AE $'s

Anyway, ordered 100 a319's, time for a small hub somewhere to park them .... yes there are still loads of places to fly to and from ;-) and the rest of the 700 787's i still have to be delivered, btw, nice discount from Mr Boeing!

I think we all know about the LF Africa script, but don't you think it would be more sportsmanlike if people didn't take advantage of this?

Totally agree with you... so first fix the LF script ;-) and for that matter all the LF script that can allow up to 20 a380's on a route for one airline and still make 100% LF and profit.

Maybe the creator of the game can read some of these messages we post or at least let us know he has read them and that goes for sim 1 and sim 2.

Most routes from some african cities will allow up to 5 a380's at a certain price or 6 or 7 a333's before you need to drop in price. This is also the case at LAX - ORD - LHR and all other major destinations. There is a fundemental flaw in the LF script allthough I have to say it it does get better as more airlines enter a route, not like in sim 1.

Anyway this will be my last time playing sim 2 (i have stopped playing sim 1) until some things get fixed. I found another airline sim that does not have the problems we have in AE at the moment.

And yes I do realise Miller's time is precious to him but if you want to people to enjoy playing something you created then you have to expect that those people would like feedback on their comments, as yet I have seen 0,0 feedback over the last months.
