Does anyone know of a picture format that's compressed? Mine is about 4 kb to big.

jpeg is compressed, try a bigger compression. I think you mean your logo in the signature with 10kb ? You will get a jpeg with a good quality about 5k of it. Using Gif with a 64 color palette will be possible there too and you will get it at a size of 2.5kb for example without really loosing viewing quality.
