I see someone is still trying to exploit the LAS - LAX route but I think as more people go on there his / her LF will drop.

Ya, the Market Research seems like a nice tool, but 99% of the time its calculations are wrong. You mostly earn a lot less..

Will the list of Airports in Sim2 be transferred across to Sim1 when its reset next as it seems far more comprehensive.

It has been hit and miss. It is nice to have an estimate at least. One thing you have to watch is the number of frequencies on shorter routes. ie: DFW-IAH - Where a D328 will make 12 frequencies and a B19 will only make 10, the route research maxed out at 12. It does not show the max frequencies for each aircraft, which can be misleading if you aren't making the calculations on your own.

And the LF script is much better. :)

Well I was just starting that one up when I saw the number of people already buying A330's is almost 3 pages long, and a few alreayd have more than 10 on order (and it's august year 2), I think I'll wait this one out for the next reset. If there's something that crazy going on already then there must be a bug exploit in there.

Remember that the time is passing by 4 times quicker on sim2 than on sim1 (that is, on a single day four game time months passes). As the time is passing quicker I am unable to login every month and when I login after not logging in for several months there is a good deal of money that I can invest in A330s for example. Also in sim2 you get all aircrafts you order immedietly (rather than 2 aircrafts per month from a single manufactorer) so airline expansion is much quicker.

One thing which I don't understand (which is perhaps not related to the sim2) is how the value of the airline is counted? I am constantly having higher profits and higher revenues than the airline that is above me in the rankings, but the value of that airline is bigger and the gap is getting larger and larger.

Indeed however some strange things are happening. Here for example: http://sim2.airlinee...1=LAX&city2=DEN .

By the time of checking the information of this route was like that:

Airline Aircraft Frequency Total
Daily Seats Ticket Price
Temasek Airlines (10768) Boeing 737-900 4 708 $1,270
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 737-600 4 460 $4,730
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 717-200 3 318 $4,730
Freedom Air (14803) Embraer EMB 190 LR 3 315 $1,500
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 757-300 1 243 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 757-300 1 243 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 757-300 1 243 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 737-600 2 230 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 787-8 1 225 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 737-900 1 177 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 737-900 1 177 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 737-900 1 177 $5,065
Midway (16350) Bombardier Q400 2 148 $800
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 717-200 1 106 $5,065
Skylite Airlines (13223) Boeing 717-200 1 106 $5,065
United Airlines (16434) Raytheon Beech 1900D 3 57 $1,200

Now wonder Skylite Airlines came up so quickly.

I also haven't found out what the trick is, but I always wonder how Air Transvall, one of the top players in sim2 can get up to two-digits number of rotations with a Q400 between relatively small cities. I am not saying someone is cheating (the bad word again), but there must be something in the lf script. Also why are small airports normally much better than big ones (at least my experience in Africa)?

Cheers,

Felix

The LAX - DEN route is a route in between two of my hubs eventually my two biggest hubs. Most of those flights are one way flights anyways. I use the LAX - DEN route as a filler. Whenever one of my planes has say 4 hours left. I put it on a one way flight in between those two citys. LAX - DEN is my biggest and most profitable route. I have since you posted that raised my prices again. I'm not cheating, I have a stratigie and I'm using it to the best I can. I would like to say that Sim2 is much more competitive now and much more fun than the last rounds. Thanks to Miller for evening it out a bit and makeing it a bit more realistic.

Well, I must say, this game is very different then the one I'm used to. Oh well, this will be interesting. Let's see if I don't make the same noobish mistake again.

However, you seem to do this on all of your routes. I've noticed that you are flying 3-10 aircraft on each route and your prices are astronomical. Could you explain why you have so many aircraft on each of your routes and why your prices are so high?

Hubs seem to have a huge impact, even when small it seems. I have to get used to sim2 first...
