Ya, the Market Research seems like a nice tool, but 99% of the time its calculations are wrong. You mostly earn a lot less..
It has been hit and miss. It is nice to have an estimate at least. One thing you have to watch is the number of frequencies on shorter routes. ie: DFW-IAH - Where a D328 will make 12 frequencies and a B19 will only make 10, the route research maxed out at 12. It does not show the max frequencies for each aircraft, which can be misleading if you aren't making the calculations on your own.
And the LF script is much better.

One thing which I don't understand (which is perhaps not related to the sim2) is how the value of the airline is counted? I am constantly having higher profits and higher revenues than the airline that is above me in the rankings, but the value of that airline is bigger and the gap is getting larger and larger.

The LAX - DEN route is a route in between two of my hubs eventually my two biggest hubs. Most of those flights are one way flights anyways. I use the LAX - DEN route as a filler. Whenever one of my planes has say 4 hours left. I put it on a one way flight in between those two citys. LAX - DEN is my biggest and most profitable route. I have since you posted that raised my prices again. I'm not cheating, I have a stratigie and I'm using it to the best I can. I would like to say that Sim2 is much more competitive now and much more fun than the last rounds. Thanks to Miller for evening it out a bit and makeing it a bit more realistic.
However, you seem to do this on all of your routes. I've noticed that you are flying 3-10 aircraft on each route and your prices are astronomical. Could you explain why you have so many aircraft on each of your routes and why your prices are so high?
