Pictures of the planes throughout the website and pictures when purchasing planes and other places around the website would be pretty cool. The pictures just might slow things down, but it would defiantly seem more realistic if pictures of the planes were seen next to their descriptions. Just a thought.

its a good idea.. but the thing is that that would take up a lot of bandwidth, and ae is stressed in that category so i do not beleive it will be done, and do not think it should..

concorde ..... probably not, and if it was, it would be expensive and high operating cost which you would make practically no monkey with

And what is a man without monkey? Nothing.

:(

It would be very nice, but expensive to host due to bandwidth considerations, as nathaniel said.

Miller said he plans to do this, hopefuly integrating a livery function that would automaticaly paint your planes. He posted a list of profile views he'd need awhile ago. I started with a few, but we can probably assume this feature is pretty far down on he list.

i imagine the concorde is going to cost a lot, but if we could just charge as much as real airlines do for a ticket?

I mean LHR-JFK ticket on the BA Concorde was around 8K, plus it wont take that much hours since the aircraft operates at such high speeds so this could increase the freq's that you can fly the route.

I dont think it will be a bad Idea.

Well AF and BA were unable to make it profitable despite a complete lack of competion :(

As it stand now ther is no passenger prefrence for anything (distance, time, powersource, service level, etc), so the ability to charga premium would also be very far in advance.

Plus it's not realistic to include the Concorde, since it has been unfortuneately grounded in real life, which sucks in my opinion. A perfectly good aircraft grounded for the rest of eternity after one crash...and that was due to debris left on the runway by another aircraft, if I remember correctly?

The 747 and other planes have had more crashes and yet they are still flying...and the Concorde is gone after one crash...it makes me sick.

The dont think the Concorde was retired because of just that one crash, i think it was because of its age. I mean come on , how can an Airline be stupid enough to ground all of its concorde because just one crash.

If it was like this Korean Air wouldn't have any aircrafts by now!:(

It's a combination of multiple events, but the most important reason has not been mentioned -- FUEL PRICES
Those Concordes are the ultimate hungry bastards!

Fuel and maintenance.

We are currently looking into different ways to bring images into the game. With the new server, bandwidth isn't the problem it was before. The reason we're not just throwing up pictures of aircraft is because we want to provide pictures that the players can repaint. We're playing around with screenshots of all-white aircraft from FS that players can repaint (the screenshots, that is. Not the aircraft for FS).

At one point, the BA concords made 10% of BA's profit. 10% with just 8 planes, WOW! Of course, a major part of that 10% was from the money maker charter flights, not the LHR-JKF flights..
