I know the 737-900 exit limit is the same as the 737-800, but in the real world airlines are able to configure a -900 with more seats in a 2-class configuration than the -800. I don't know if there is a way to implement this in AE, but without it the -900 is just reduced to a worse -800 and we have to wait another 5 years until the -900ER comes out.

You correctly identified why you can't specifiy the 737-900 with more seats, then didn't seem to accept that's why.

No he's spot on. There is physically more space in the -900, allowing a more premium cabin. Like sure the total amount of passengers is the same between -800 and -900, but the -900 should be allowed to have more C compared to the -800. As long as it doesn't exceed 189 total pax, it should be allowed to have that extra C or F capacity.

AE works off a 189 PAX exit limit, the limitation int he game software is that is based on a full Y configuration. Now I don't see either of you volunteering to write the code to fix this free game that hasn't seen significant updates in years.
Just wait till the 739ER comes out.

Unfortunately, the game does not support special configurations with extra F/C passengers. This is the same reason why the A350-900ULR has lower range than the regular A350-900.

Anyway, this feature could be a good suggestion for AE4.0, if it ever releases.

Hi bud. Thanks for being rude. I know exactly how AE calculates seating, I was wondering whether there is some way for it account for available space on the aircraft. Maybe the -900 can theoretically carry 220 like the -900ER. But the total number of seats for a configuration is capped at 189.

You really don't get it, do you? AE has no way to simulate that and with no real active developments being made on the game, I suspect it never will work like that.
