Can helicopter routes operate between any route pair? Are they profitable? Is there any special consideration for this type of aircraft?

helicopter routes can be profitable, if you do them right. they're essential if you're operating a greenlandic carrier, since runways are short and there's not too much demand. i recommend the boeing 234ER, since it has the most range out of all helicopters (i think)

It is possible to make them profitable, what I tend to do is maximize the possible ticket price I can charge on a route like that. Don't expect that it would be making five figures or so, if anything, it would just be enough to break even with maintenance costs, leasing costs, etc.

i would assume spam IFS is a massive bonus, and scam employees, but idk how profitable it would be.

A helicopter spamline would be interesting, maybe I’ll try that sometime.

I mean it could theoretically work?
But you would need THOUSANDS of helis to get anywhere near regular spamline levels.
Not to mention demand on helicopter routes would be awful. You would have to find a solid under 1000 mile route that you could profitably spam to make the other routes function.

True, it would be very difficult. I probably won’t get around to trying it for a long time.
