Dear all
I am playing in real world scenario and headquartered my airlines in Italy
When I try to launch a flight outside Italy, ie. a LHRJFK, a CPHMUC or ATHCDG i could not do that “due to political restrictions”.
Then I see other airlines headquartered in Italy or in different country with hub in a third country.
Does this mean that if you have an hub in a country not your home you may the. Operate out to that country to differents airport (not the airports of your home country)?
Sorry I am lost about this

In general, your flight must originate from your own country and you can only have hubs in your own country. However, there are two open skies agreements, one of which is the EU after the year 2000. You can make hubs in other EU countries and you can fly "domestic" EU flights, but not international flights from other countries in the EU.

At first, I tried to do a flight from Singapore Changi to John F Kennedy. Then, I tried to fly to San Francisco and Los Angeles from John F Kennedy, but could not due to political reasons. Do I have to add another flight from Singapore Changi? Or do I have to make a new hub?

If your home base is Changi, you can't operate domestic flights in the USA

On realistic world this is not possible (also on real world kind of allowing foreign airlines flying domestic routes or in short word : Cabotage is quite rare). On open world you could.

"Managing a real world airline is not as easy as you play Airline Empires. Real world airline are more and much more complicated"
