name the worst thing that could happen in aviation. I say an A380 crashing into another A380 while on runway, causing debris to crash and destroy 12 other aircraft (9 of which are 747s) causing about 10,000 deaths/injuries
what about you?

what about you?
Solar flare during the peak of summer travel season that just happens to fry the electronics on all aircraft and ATC towers in North America/Europe at the time.
Lol, you mean like, an accident? Well...
A380-800 fully fueled stalling after takeoff directly onto the terminal at Dubai/Beijing/LAX/some other hugely populated building.
Mid-air collision over the Atlantic
One of those runway bridges collapsing while an A380 is landing during rush hour.
Discarded rocket boost stage falling onto an airliner.
Airport fuel storage leak, resulting in loss of rich/lean air-fuel mix, and a careless spark. Airport go boom.
Things just got really dark lol

Just to make you guys feel better:
-Safety margins exist for a reason (Runway bridge)
-Solar flares are rather easy to forecast, so just turning off the electronics should prevent serious damage.
-Flights are diverted around rocket launches
-Fuel tanks are stored underground with enough fuel such that the fuel-air ratio is too high for the fuel to combust. Think of it like what would happen if you fill a campfire with just logs and leave no oxygen; not enough oxygen = no combustion.
-Atlantic flight tracks are separated by hundreds of miles and thousands of feet.
-Well, they usually don't build large buildings directly in front of runways for a reason.
The rules of engineering are often written in blood

thats funny. what about ryanair? or easyjet?

I'm assuming you've never been to Europe, because EasyJet and Ryanair aren't ANYWHERE near as bad as some of the things I've heard about Spirit

A large passenger airliner, such as a 747 or A380, crashes directly into an active nuclear power plant in France in 2024, upwind from the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
The destruction is unparalleled, and the uncontrolled open-air reactor core meltdown results in severe air and water contamination.
Over the next months, years, and decades, nearly a hundred thousand people die from the effects of the radiation, in addition to those who died in the crash.

Ha yes I'm really Akbar al Baker.

Very true at least for Easy Jet. I took a couple flights with them on my last visit to Europe; service was friendly and you can buy a beer for a reasonable price. Flights were on time. All anecdotal of course. I haven't flown Spirit in years but friends have had nightmares with them. Haven't flown Ryanair.
Air force one but on a .. ATR 72
American, Delta, United, and Southwest merge to create one giant monopoly airline with 80% market share.
I mean if that Air Canada plane had landed on that taxiway in SFO, that's an A320, two 787s, an A340, and a 737-900 all presumably destroyed.
someone pushes a button destroying ALL airplanes right when they are at cruising altitude!
