Why are delivery start dates so inaccurate? For most planes they aren't even in the correct year, and for some such as the A330neo, the delivery starts before the plane even ever had its first flight in real life. Don't even get me started on the end of production dates..

My best guess is that a lot of delivery start dates or end of production dates are fairly recent, and thus were confirmed after AE's aircraft database was last updated properly. So, many of them aren't accurate.

My best guess is that the delivery start dates or end of production dates of many aircraft haven taken place in the last couple of years, after AE's aircraft database was last updated properly and therefore many dates aren't accurate.

that is a good answer

Apparently, delivery start dates are randomized from the 1st of January to the 24th of December in a single year. So the year is supposed to be accurate, but the day won't be.

But the years aren't accurate either, The A320neo started delivery in 2016, not 2015, the A330neo started delivery in late 2018, not 2017, the A220 (CSeries) started delivery in 2016, not 2014.

And with end dates, the 767 passenger variants are all out of production but all 767s after the -200er in game are said to be produced forever, and the Concorde ended production in 1979, but in game is produced until 2003 which is just the date where it ended service

actually it says that the 767 family is still in production (it says 1981 - present) but the 767-200ER i think is out of production bot they are still making 300/400s. the concorde thing however is accurate. but hey, it's AE!!!  ;) ya can't blame them.

The 767 Freighter and KC-46 are the only 767s in production today. In-game the 767-200ER, 300, 300ER, and 400ER are all still in production for the rest of time

Also the ARJ21, which entered into service in 2016, but the game starts delivering it in 2011
