ITS COMING UP SAAB

Today Metroline Airways announced that its 15th Saab 2000 has entered the fleet. This is quite a large number for the airline and is still growing with more on order directly from Saab and others being purchased from other airlines. A 16th Saab 2000 was purchased but brokered to another airline allowing us the funds to order our 1st Boeing 737-900.

We are also looking for an airline to purchased a couple of Bombardier Q400s we are selling.

Today we announce that the first Boeing 737-900 has entered the fleet just as the last Bombardier Q400 is sold to highest bidder Reno Express. Metroline now has a firm 23 gates at London Stansted with more following shortly. The 20th and 21st Saab 200s will also be joining the fleet tonight and opening up even more routes for the airline.

We already serve many destinations along the European coasts and even as far back as Warsaw in Poland. "We are not afraid to fly where the wind takes us, as long as those winds bring good profits" Said Alex Stankevitch at the press conference.

We have reports that the airline will slow down with purchasing Saabs and move more onto Boeing and Airbus models for longer and higher-capacity routes.

Today Metroline Airways would like to announce the arrival of the 20th and 21st Saab 2000 onto the fleet. These will be the last Saabs we order for a while as we will now focus on upgrading current routes to larger aircraft like the Airbus A319 and Boeing 737 series.

Our first A319 is flying our longer Istanbul route while the Boeing 737-900 is fying the high capacity Athens route and high-frequency Dusseldorf route, all from Stansted.

We also have three ATR 42-500s working in our fleet on the smaller routes where a Saab 2000 would be too large. These routes being Brussels, Glasgow, Nuerenburg and Berlin Tegal.

Currently 3 of our Saabs are without work as our -$28,000,000 debt is keeping us from purchasing new gates, but when we do we will hopefully be placing these on new routes.

We still hold the best share of STN operations being:
London Stansted - 25% number 1...

We're putting the Air in Airbus

Today Metroline announced that it has sold its Boeing 737-900 aircraft to LimboLines and purchased a total of 4 Airbus A319 aircraft. When these are delivered the fleet total will be 5 and will be placed on the Istanbul, Athens, Cairo, Tel Aviv and New York routes. We have also recieved our 22nd Saab 200 which has been placed on our new Stansted to Faro route.

We have ordered 2 more Saab 2000s which when they arrive will fly the Stansted - Alicante and Barcelona routes.

Today Metroline Airways formally anounced the 25th Saab 2000 into service. "This new aircraft will be providing passengers with our new Helsinki route, a prime spot last round which this time hopes to be even better." Said a spokesman for Metroline. Currently the airline also holds a 26th Saab 2000 in on of its maintenance hangars here at Stansted but we have been told that it is currently for sale.

We know that Metroline Airways has their Airbus A319s on order and that 2 will be arriving next month to fill the longer routes to the Middle East and the first Transatlantic route.

The airline also holds the title of Number #1 at London Stansted with a whole 25% operating share. This has and will be the same all through the current round.

Extra: Metroline AIrways have also purchased a 5th ATR 42-500 and started operations on the London Stansted - Toulouse route.

Before we begin this press release, lets just hold our heads in silence for the people who died on this day five years ago...

Ch..Ch..Ch..Changes

Today Metroline Airways are announcing the replacement of all its Saab 2000 aircraft with ATR 72-500 aircraft. The airline currently operates a total of 33 Saab 2000s all of which will be sold in its advanced T.F.C.S program. The T.F.C.S operation is basically a Total Fleet Commonality System, in which the entire fleet will be scaled down and changed to more common aircraft.

The airline currently operates a total of 7 of the smaller ATR 42-500, of which they want to increase the number to at least 10 by the next few months.

"We have decided on replacing the Saabs as they are too small. In the T.F.C.S program we do not plan on any losses of profit but in fact earning slightly more due to the Saabs having a larger price tag over the ATR 72s."

Metroline Airways also operates five Airbus A319 aircraft, CEO Alex Stankevitch had this to say:
"The A319s are the backbone of our longer haul services where our Saabs cannot reach. There will be more and more A319s joining the fleet in later months and hopefully A320s aswell."

"But what do you plan on doing with the route where your new ATR 72s will not be able reach?" Asked a reporter.

"Thats simple, we plan on using the 72s on our shorter routes while implementing the 42s on the slightly longer routes. If the range is over 1,000 miles and neither the 42 nor 72 can operate, we plan on aqquiring a different aircraft to operate these routes. Probably EMB-195s or A319s." Stated Alex Stankevitch.

Many new routes have been introduced to the network with the new ATR 72-500s. All routes have increased capacity and our DOP has gone from $2.5 Million to a staggering $3 Million.

We have also ordered a total of four Airbus A330-300 aircraft and four Boeing 737-900 aircraft. The current fleet is growing very quickly and Metroline remains number 1 at London Stansted airport.

Update

Terminal Metro
London Stansted Airport

It has been a while since Metroline Airways had its last update, but the airline is booming with changes. We are still number #1 at STN and fly to nearly every destination in Europe.

Our fleet has expanded to a total of 49 aircraft with another 10 on order. The list is shown below.

We have now completely phased out all our Saab 2000 aircraft and are in the process of upgrading all our ATRs with either Airbus A319 or Boeing 737 equipment. We also now operate 2 Embrear EMB-190 aircraft leased for a couple of years.

We would also like to announce the takeover of all Stansted-based OpeationAir, their destinations of BGO, BLQ and PRG will all now be operated by Metroline Airways.

The ATR aircraft have also recieved a special branding to introduce the Metro division. Pictures will follow shortly.

The airline now operates 2 Airbus A330-300 aircraft to both Tokyo Haneida and Narita airports.

Go Ahead for Aurora

Today Metroline Airways announce that the Airbus Aircraft in our fleet are all going to be phased out in favor of Boeing aircraft.

"Its a well known fact that Metroline never keeps a steady fleet. The oldest aircraft in service that the airline bought new was an Airbus A319 and even this will be sold soon."

In light of the decided fleet changes marketing managers at Metroline Airways have been talking with the marketing teams at Ajax Air and have come to a deal worth a whooping $1.26 billion dollars for the entire Metroline Airbus fleet.

The airline is also looking for buyers for its Embraer EMB-190LR fleet. The sales team already reports 2 firm orders and 2 more options by an unknown customer.

Finally the airline has purchased a very large number of Boeing aircraft, these including all aircraft from the Boeing 737 series, 757 series and 777 series. All aircraft will be laid out with custom Metroline Airways interiors.

Still whooping STN with 33%

A Whole New World

For the whole of this route Metroline has tried to be the best airline in terms of value for money. This has been one of our main goals in becoming a world-renown airline.

And our innovative team have come up with a new idea, PewterClass. This new idea is our very own Premium Economy service. This will provide extra legroom, a full interactive IFE system and will also allow for extras like upgraded meals and more seat pitch. Currently this service is only available on board Boeing 737-900, 757-200, 757-300 and 777-300 series aircraft.

Posted Image

Also the Economy class, or now known as marveloustraveler class of travel has been upgraded to suit the needs of our passengers. The layout is basic with a 34" seat pitch, meals are included in the ticket price and most flights have some sort of IFE system.

Posted Image

Class Layout:
All PewterClass flights come with a full interactive IFE system.
All marveloustraveler tickets come with continuous IFE systems are fitted aboard all the Boeing aircraft, including the 737s, 757s and 777s. Unfortunatly the Q400s only come with audio playback systems and dropdown screens.

NOTE: The Airbus and Embraer aircraft will NOT be recieving these upgrades as they are not predicted to stay in the fleet much longer.

High Tides

As a more settled atmosphere starts to loom over the Metroline HQ, we would like to look back on ourselfs.

Starting out at Stansted in Year 1, we were a small operator that began with B1900s but soon moved over to Saab 2000s. Major routes were CDG, MAN, BRU, AMS and ORY.

Later during year 3 after significant growth we decided to change the fleet to ATR aircraft and started ordering Airbus A319s and our very first A330-300s. The first intercontinental Metroline routes were opened.

Since then the fleet has gone through many changes and is now settled on the Boeing range of aircraft. Metroline have stayed faithful to Stansted and now rule with over 36% of the full operations.

We would also like to announce our net worth has exceeded $3 billion and our Daily Operating Profit is over $5 million.

Fleet expansion is going great, the EMB-190s are nearly gone, our last A319 is going soon and the Airbus A330s will also be replaced by Boeing 777-3ML aircraft.

Terminal Metro
Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport

New Star in Canada

Today Metroline Airways are proud to announce the grand opening of the new Ottowa terminal. The terminal itself houses 30 gates, a shopping centre, a specific Metroline VIP lounge (will be shown later) and will also house all other GoldenSKY flights out of Ottowa.

"Since the day we started flights to the US we knew the airline could have a big potential there. We have worked for years and years researching airports in the US/Canada area and most seemed full full from the bigger airlines but a few stood out. Ottowa was the main choice because it is near the East Coast providing lots of airports in close reach for our Q400s and has a high demand since Ottowa is the capital of Canada."

Here are some publicity shots of the new terminal:

3 - Its the Magic Number

As Metroline Airways announce plans for a 3rd hub, we delve into the massive changes at Ottowa Intl since the arrival of this new airline.

"Not only does the arrival of Metroline add to the current route network from Ottowa Intl but also adds many new routes to new airports. New desinations like Denver, New Orleans, Charleston and Raleigh Durham provoke more air travel from those destinations bring economical wealth to Ottowa and a massive increase in tourism to the Canadian Capital" Said Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin.

Metroline have already taken a 13% share of all airline operations at Ottowa and have filled up to 1/3 of their new terminal there.

The new hub is rumored to be in either the West USA or Asia. Possible locations are Salt Lake City, Albequerque, Macau or Xaimen Gaoqi. From what we understand more research is being conducted.

Metroline Airways have also signed deals for 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and 20 Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
