Metroline Are Back
Today Metroline Airways opened up shop at London Stansted again. The airline was the best at the airport in the last round but how will they cope with the new competition this time around?
"We have started at Stansted again because the airport is good for our needs. We currently operate three Beechcraft B1900s from the airport and have gained a leading market share already which we hope to keep for the rest of the round"
Their current routes include:
London Stansted - Amsterdam
London Stansted - Brussels
London Stansted - Dublin
London Stansted - Dusseldorf
London Stansted - Manchester
London Stansted - Paris Charles De Gaul
"We have already recieved competition from Australis on our CDG route and another start-up airline called JTE Airways has invaded most of our other routes. But even with this we are easily making over $250,000+ a day."

The Bomb from Bombardier
Today Metroline Airways welcomed the first Bombardier Q400 into their fleet, this new aircraft is already on the Amsterdam and Paris routes and operating above expected efficency.
"This is the first of many Q400s we hope to be acquiring in the coming months. This aircraft has superb range, turnaround time and speed for its size and all of this comes at a very low price. Thats why it is the best choice for us at Metroline" Said Alex Stankevitch at the press conference.
@Fly_Germany: I had to battle with Ajax last round and survived, im getting good at it
@Maestro: I only dare compete on the STN-CDG route, if you become as big as last time it would be a problem for me.

Today the current Metroline Airways fleet stands at three Bombardier Q400s, a Dornier 328 and now five Saab 2000s. The current choice for the Saabs comes as they have the lowest order book of all aircraft in that range.
We have also become on good terms with major Stansted competitor Foesah. An agreement has been set up for a while which both airlines are currently pleased with.
Metroline are expanding their route network to encompass most of Scandanavia, Western Europe and the British Isles.

The Metroline fleet is now up to 7 Saab 2000 aircraft and we have recieved our first Airbus A319 aircraft. This has already been placed on the longest route to ever be started from London Stansted (this round), this new destination is Istanbul.
New flights have also started to Barcelona, Dresden, Belfast and soon many more. We have also decided to drop the Amsterdam route due to low profit margains.

The 8th and 9th Saab 2000s have arrived and our final Beechcraft B1900 to the market. Due to a small oversight with the Gates we have not yet started operations from Stansted to Dresden but rather Dresden to Marseille, Amsterdam and Istanbul. Dresden now shows itself to be a pretty good hub in terms of operations but Metroline is still too young for that.
We have reached $1.6 Million in DOP and are now ordering up to 2 Saab 2000 aircraft by the month. This means the fleet is expanding rapidly and will soon be one of the biggest Saab operators in Europe. We are already the biggest Saab operator in the GoldenSKY alliance and it will probably stay that way as we have chosen Saab over Bombardier this round due to the quicker delivery times..
Metroline is also the biggest Stansted based airline operating and hopes to remain so with its ever-expanding fleet and major market share.
Metroline = 1 @ EGSS London Stansted - 25%
We are also having fun with the smaller airlines like Harry Air, Dr88 and Melita Air. Even though these airline pose no threat to Metroline in the short or long term, its still fun to run them into the ground (not literally )

Today Metroline Airways sold its first Q400. These aircraft are slowly being phased out and replaced with newer Saab 2000 aircraft to benifit our fleet. We have also ordered a pair of new ATR 42-500s to firstly replace the Dornier 328 (Which will be sold) and also provide the fleet with a starting point for a smaller turboprop aircraft.
We are also in talks with some airlines about a brokering deal for our Saab 2000s. Currently 2 airlines have stepped forward to the challenge but the airline that can offer us the best price will be chosen.
We have also opened up London Stansted as our first hub. We have yet to build a terminal as Stansted still has alot of unused gates which we think will still be oen for some time.
