Hello! It's my second day of playing AE. And I wake up to see that I didn't make any money and I lost a big amount of money. I just can't seem to make money! Every time I get money, I seem to lose it back and a repeated cycle of getting and losing. How would I make more money than my expenses? Some tips(?) would be really helpful.

New player myself. As far as I know, employees get paid on the 15th, maintenance and other expenses paid on the end of the month. That's where the biggest chunks of money get carved off the account. The AE tutorial and Yuxi's post and thread has tips I followed, and then some I figured out while playing: http://www.airline-e...or-new-players/At least from me, make sure your plane's profit is at least half its total revenue/ticket and operating sales, that way you can cover expenses and make some money. From there, it's a matter of leasing more planes running the same or greater level of a profit margin until you make big daily operating profits. If your funds are low, don't lease too many planes at once if you'd like to be safe, just take it steady. Lease used planes so you don't have to wait for deliveries, because there are brand new used planes anyway. You can try to look for the routes that have a good demand with lower gate costs, but from my experience it's not too bad to lease a bigger plane and run between capital cities - the profits usually cover the expensive gate leasing costs and then some. Also, don't forget to read around and wait for other inputs. My tips are just my twenty centavos, but they worked for me. I've still got a long way to go but it's fun to learn.

If you took out a bond then that's fine, It happened to me I was like in the -3 or 5 million for a few month until I started getting out of it. The secret to having a profit is to make sure your daily operating profits are over 300k for each plane, if it is less than that, then you are going to suffer. Also start at airports that aren't international ones, as when you decide to build a terminal the cost will be less and will save you money. Also avoid leasing Large aircraft families,( like the 777 or 757, wait until you have at least 500 million then take the risk) or different aircraft families ( If you started with a 737, stick to that and don't get an a320). This will put a whole in your account/ balance. If you need any more help ask me.
