rapa nui | Easter Island, Chile

IATA : IP | ICAO : IPC | Callsign : Moai

Fleet : 1 A330-223

Rapa Nui - Aérolineas Pascuensas is an airline based at Mataveri International Airport, on Easter Island. Its only route links the island with the mainland, namely Santiago. The airline operates a sole A330-200, a former Air Seoul aircraft. Due to the extreme isolation of Easter Island, Rapa Nui is a vital link with the outside world. It is also used by the local tourism board to promote the destination, with the livery featuring a large depiction of the island ans its moai statues, as well as the #easterisland and #isladepascua hashtags on the fuselage.

The wonderful image is by Mark Zukowski

Drakeavia | Punta Arenas, Chile

IATA: UD | ICAO: UQO | Callsign: DRAKEAVIA

Fleet: 3 BAe 146-200s

Drakeavia is an airline established in 1999 based in Punta Arenas, Chile. The airline was initially established to provide scheduled service to Antarctica for researchers and tourists travelling to the seventh continent. During the Antarctic winter, when weather conditions aren't ideal for flying, the airline operates chartered flights that serve the mining industry. In 2019, Drakeavia painted CC-CPR as an emperor penguin to celebrate the company's 20 years of flying to Antarctica.

Hello all! On behalf of Pasti, Ro and Zacca, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this contest and the wonderful work we have seen! Congratulations to our top three: Boeing707, Belgium., and AviatorCJ. As well, if you had scored lower than anticipated, keep in mind, do not view these scores as a failure, but rather as a means of improvement and continue to further develop your work and skills. Use these scores to grow your creativity and to explore more into the likes of Latin American styles and culture! Should you have any questions or want any advice feel free to PM any of us. Once again, thank you all so much for participating and we hope to see you and more next year for Latin America Design 2021. Adiós, adeus!

Congratulations to the winners, very well deserved!

On a personal note, I know I said this in the gallery upload, but I absolutely love the Ara design...it's adorable and (in my opinion) a genius way to integrate the namesake into the livery itself...
