Does Amritsar really have such a high demand?

in-game:

Amritsar - Dubai has a demand of 1105 Economy passengers

Colombo - Dubai has a demand of 440 Economy passengers

But in real life:

Amritsar - Dubai has 3 daily flights (operated on 2 daily A320 and 1 daily 737)

Colombo - Dubai has 6-7 daily flights (operated on 4 daily 7771 daily A3301-2 daily 737 and 4 weekly A320)

So my question is: Is that a bug or is it real?

Usually the closer the airports are the higher the demand is.

Amritsar is around 1100 nmi while Colombo is around 1780 nmi from dubai. Logically the demand would be for Amritsar would be higher.

Also the demand in the game doesn't follow the actual demand of the real world. This might be a bug but it probably isn't.

Also, demand goes up and down significantly each month of the game. The demand for 440 passengers could goes up to 600 passengers.

While the 1105 passengers demand could goes as low as 700-800 passengers.

Umm so for example Chicago to London is busier than London to New York. In real life it’s the opposite. Phoenix to London may seem really busy, but there’s only like 1 flight a week in real life and it’s seasonal. That’s because these cities (in real life), as hubs, generate a lot of traffic, not into the city but to other cities in the US. Amritsar could be busier than Colombo because maybe in real life, the route to Delhi may be extremely packed, hence getting more Annual Pax per year than Colombo.

Ii is not a bug, but however the way the games calculates the demand for each city pair. It uses as part of the assumption, the yearly passenger figures for each airport. So therefore, while in real life, Dubai-Colombo might have more daily flights than Dubai-Amritsar, you will find since Amritsar has more yearly passenger numbers (due to more domestic traffic), that the demand to Amritsar is higher when flying to bigger airports such as Dubai.

Another example is Sydney-Melbourne with over 30 daily flights in real life however hard to replicate in game without dumping the routes way beyond the actual demand shown.

The Passengers per year at ATQ is 23 million in the game whereas its one-tenth of that in reality.

This.

I think an extra 0 has been added by accident

Seems like the demand for Amritsar has now been updated. ATQ-DXB now has a demand of around 250 pax.
