I accidentally clicked the "Lease gates at" button and it automatically leased, but I didn't want to. Is there a way to un-lease a gate?

Yep! Under Gates on the left-hand nav, there's Return Gates.

Yeah you can return a gate so you don't incur future monthly rental costs, but you don't get a refund for the accidental first month.
