How is it that Republic just ordered 40 new Boeing 787-8, Each 787-8 costs $212,100,000 that's like 848 billion dollars how do u make that much money legit!?!?!?!?!?! :/  O_O  oh and u got other fees like winglets and stuff but still. and he ordered 30 new Bombardier Q400 NextGen before that!!!!

Unless they have a ton of cash, yea they ordered that much. If not then they lease it. I just leased about 40 DC-8s LOL

Your math is wrong, 40 787-8s being worth about 8.48 billion. If you run your airline pretty well, you can earn a substantial amount of money. Being #1 in my world, I can buy 500 777-300ERs (most expensive plane in my current time) worth $120.7 billion and still have $360 billion to spare after.

Your math is wrong, it would be $8.48 billion for 40 787-8s, your math is thinking that he ordered 4,000 787-8s.

As for how Republic could have ordered them, bulk discount. As you buy more planes, the price of each individual plane goes down. 40 planes would not be much, but a discount is a discount.

With the discount for a big order, and only paying 50% deposit, you're looking at about $3-4bn laid out up front. That's not even a lot for non-spamlines that have been running a while. Anyone up near the top of the leaderboards is sitting on $100's of billions in cash at a minimum. Top spots are usually over $1 trillion, and often several times that - certainly, my biggest airline has had> $1bn DOP, enough to pay for that in a day or two.
