According to the Flightradar24 speed and altitude data, it looks like the plane took a steep dive into the water.

As an indonesia and avgeek i was very sad and Shocked because the PK-LQP is very brand new plane its A 737 Max 8
In indonesia nasi goreng is the best

Though I think that the worst part is that a brand new aircraft took a nosedive into the ocean; which raises questions about what else could be wrong with the 737 max aircraft.

The pilot on the flight before the one that crashed had to turn the plane back due to mechanical problems. Lion Air is now inspecting all their 737 Max aircraft.
