So this Qantas thing in R7 keeps taking over my domestic routes, how can I get them to quit off that route
How do you get an airline off a route (Competition)

for me, the only way to get them to completely get that airline off your route is by competing head to head with it.
it might sound a bit stupid, but it has worked for me in the past.
let me know how it goes, i'm in Worlds S-1 and R-6

You don't? It's called competition for a reason.

So when there’s competition you still have the blue bar (connecting passengers), and sometimes if you are big enough the connecting passengers can fill up the whole plane, and you can reset your route prices, maintaining profitability.
As sometimes airlines are really stubborn and reduce prices all the way to $20, the only way is to use other means to get passengers, such as connecting passengers. Trust me, it will give you quite a lot of profits.

Okay so just make your airports a hub (like how I used to do in the US)

Just don't take it too far, isn't that pretty much spamlining?

As in I do flights that go according to demand, like if the route as 2000C, I just do 2000C or slightly more (up to 2400C), as I want to maximise every single route I have. For these type of big routes, I use larger planes like the A300-600R or maybe even the 747-400 to reduce the no. of slots I take up in the airport, or to save terminal space.

Connecting passengers is the only way. From my experience of a single-hub operation, the blue pax only came to life at 600,000 daily passengers through my hub so aggressive expansion at the start of the round is key to build the numbers.
Don't get pulled into "ethical" discussions, spamlining to an extent is key to surviving a round, while scumlining is the lowest maintenance way to play the game.
