Actually it is. IRL some airlines get the max utilization out of there fleet. Just happens to be 20 hrs in AE and 10 IRL. Same concept though. By your definition most IRL LCC are spamliners. 

 

MIT data shows total block time for the US airlines with highest utilization to be in the ballpark of 13-15 hours on short haul flights, and upwards of 16-17 on long haul flights.

 

Really AE needs cycle limitations on airframes. Sure you can run your airplanes with 12 flights a day, 22 hours a day, every day. Logistics notwithstanding it's completely possible. But you're gonna burn through your fleet faster than it can make money for you.

 

You know, if AE was being worked on at all.

Nope. You can't make some baseless claim like that. If it's 18 hours then it is 18 hours in real life. Can't cherry pick what you like.


IRL LCC ARE spamliners. Offering $30 ticket for a 1 hour flight, now that's a true spamliner.
