Hi, haven't played AE in a few years,

Is there any way to know depreciation and maintentance cost of a plane before purchase?

And how important is plane price vs plane fuelflow?

These three planes are very similar.

1996 35 million TU-214 - 509mph - 210 seats - 25.380 fuelflow - 3430mi range

1998 90 million 737-800 - 528mph - 189 seats - 17.900 fuelflow - 3190mi range

1994 90 million A321-100 - 514mph - 220 seats - 21.000 fuelflow - 2600mi range

The Russian plane is almost three times cheaper, does that weigh up to the fuelflow difference?

I would love to factor in maintenance & depreciation before buying planes, maintenance & depreciation are important factors and it looks like we can only see this information after buying a plane?

Thx 4 help

A cheaper Plane price will almost never offset Fuel Price over the lifetime of the plane.

Monthly Maintenance Price = Maintenance Multiplier * (Plane Age ^ 2) + Monthly Plane Value

Maintenance Multiplier = Monthly Plane Base Maintenance / 50,000

Monthly Plane Value = Monthly Family Base Maintenance * 6%

Monthly Family Base Maintenance = Plane Price * 5%

Inputs:

Plane Age (How old the plane is in Months)

Plane Price (Adjusted Price from selected Plane Engine)

The Final Formula:

((AC_Price*0.05)/500000)*(AC_Age*AC_Age)+(AC_Price*0.05*6%)

Simplified:

(AC_Price * (1 / 10,000,000)) * ( AC_Age^2 ) +  ( AC_Price * 3% )

I haven't worked out depreciation yet
