Typically around the 22-25 year mark, although when there’s a small fleet of purchased used aircraft they usually go younger due to higher per plane maintenance costs. Newer fuel inefficient planes (such as the IL-62) tend to start to go around 1990 with the TU-114s as Western widebodies become available for Russian companies in the real world, I try to expand on regional routes, but keep things broadly realistic.
How old do you allow your aircraft to get?

I just keep them forever. Who cares if it’s 30 years old. As long as it’s efficent enough, it’s good. That’s why I never get 787s, always A340s as they are the most effcient in the game
