May I ask to verify my assumptions about loadfactor, specifically, loadfactor vs. seats allocation on the plane.

For the sake of simplicity, let assume that the route has 4F and 3C demand. If I add 7 flights with same seats allocation (4F, 3C), it will be fully covered. What if I add another plane (8), will the coverage be surplused by 1 in each category, that is, 5F, 4C but with same demand 4F, 3C?

I'm just wondering how is it calculated to make proper adjustments in my next game.

To take more complex example from one of my routes:

Demand

Flights:

Is it distributed equally (number of C on flight divided by number of days?) Or ys there specific formula?

Thank you for explanation.

M.

Well if one of those airports is a hub than if you have more seats than demand then there could be connecting passengers

The way I look at it is this. If there are 7 weekly flights giving you 4F and 3C passengers, then I divide it by 7. For example, 4F/7 weekly flights = .57 seat/flight added. 3C/7= .43 seat/flight. Assuming I did this correctly, then by adding one more flight, it would round up and add 1F seat, but C would stay the same. There is probably someone out there who knows the algorithm and I've been doing it wrong the whole time  :/ , but that's how I would go about this. So I think the answer to your last question is divided by the number of days from my point of view.
