Still a lot of spamliners in Europe.

Do a simple search in the forums, there's a lot of discussion on the same topic in the past.

There's also some lesser known major airports in China, e.g. Chengdu, Xi'an, Shanghai Hongqiao...

Probably smaller countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Oman, Czech Republic, or maybe Peru.

America, there are some very obscure airports that only very few people operate to, such as

-LaGuardia (takes some knowledge of geography and a rather early start)

-Burbank (its also LA, ya know?)

-Chicago Midway

-Charlotte (sometimes)

-Tampa

-Clearwater

-Spokane

-San Juan, Oakland, and San Diego (sometimes)

-Sacramento

-San Antonio

-Indianapolis

-Greensboro/Durham

-Nashville

-Memphis

-Richmond

-Louisville/Cincinnati/Columbus/Cleveland (all in a nice straight line)

-Des Moines

-Kansas City

-St. Louis

Just pull out google maps and do a quick scan.

Colombia is quite underappreciated as an airline market like much of South America besides Brazil. Decent demand in/out of Bogota

Domestic flights are impossible and there's only 6.000.000 pax/year as of now, but it's very close to Italy, the Balkans, and North Africa, routes are decently profitable, it's relatively ignored by most spamliners, and setting up a terminal/hub is very easy and inexpensive.

To add to the list: Has been registered for 4 days so has no experience from which to say AVOID EUROPE if it’s not the very start of the game.

Seconded. I created a rather large, and very realistic, airline there once. Pasti helped, of course.

In my opinion, even those airports have fairly strong competition as spammlines in China would soon expand to them. You might have to pick even smaller airports with even lower demand.

Also, Brazi usually has competition with multiple airlines being based there.

Venezuela (Caracas) is also very good, though not as good as Colombia. Very few people even fly there, much less are based there, making very good options.

I've found huge success in India, as there usually little competition in comparison to the US or countries alike, also good access to all of Asia and Europe with routes on average 4-5000mi; that sweetspot if you're running a 'conventional' airline.

quite a bump but I agree with Turkey, there's always no competition there.

Indonesia has surprisingly high demand for an out-of-the-way Southeast Asian country. Also try Singapore - but if only no one else is there. Unless you're diligent and/or willing to spamline against your Singaporean competitor(s), most airlines based in Singapore pretty much have the monopoly.
