So I monopolized Greece (except a small airline operating regional flights with Fokkers, Saabs etc. but I like to think we were partners ), and rn I basically have the monopoly of SNA and Egypt.

I once monopolized the ENTIRE market for BFP-LEX. It's probably worth more than any continental monopoly you've ever had.

88 or 89% share @HND in S1 and killed two startups in the process. I had basically exhausted Japan as well with the one hub limit and 10-gate restriction from secondary cities, carrying over 1 million pax a day. Peak DOP was $400m and I left the airline to mininum maintenance after about half way into the round. Got a trophy for #3 valuation and top #10 reputation.

 

And then there was the Empire-style monster which I broke the game with, never checked market share on that one but got a trophy for #2 valuation.

if you're talking about your recent game in S3-A (where you were continental, a spamline) your market share was easily 100% for the small airports and like 50–75% for JFK, MCO, CLT, etc.

i find that turkey is actually pretty popular as a country, especially in larger worlds, but it really is quite easy to monopolize turkey if you start early enough

This first game I won was when I monopolised all of Russia and the last game I played I knocked out all my competitors in China.

That's not really true. What if your market is like North Korea or something? Just because you have total control doesn't necessarily mean you're making profit.
