Not for long. jetBlue is looking at possible transatlantic operations utilizing A321LRs. Apparently it has a decent range according to what I found, so it can go places like Italy, UK, Swedistan, Spain, Portugal, Malta (), Czech Republic, and all those places.

Very excited for that. Also kekked at Swedistan.

And I surely care more about quality than affordability, hence why I loathe a low-cost, leisure-oriented business model.

Eh...

It also helps that JetBlue has one of the largest share at JFK.

I thought Delta had the largest share there?

Hub and spoke > point to point

jetBlue has no hubs, only operating bases.

If I am correct, their biggest shares are Atlanta and Minneapolis, unless I’m missing one, I think Salt Lake City too?

Delta has the largest share at all hubs except BOS, LAX, and SEA.

I find point-to-point as very messy, unorganized, and downright inferior. Ryanair doesn't offer connecting flights because of this. In some cases the only way to "connect" on a point-to-point network is to buy another ticket and re-check your luggage.

why

They don't call them hubs but they can and do serve that purpose. When searching for a flight with JetBlue from WAS I often get the option to change in Boston.

All airlines at the core, strive to be Low Cost. All it means is that they keep their operational costs low in one way or another. A true LCC is one that has all operational costs low.

Doesn't have to be a WN or B6 type... look at Aer Lingus. Also the US3 love keeping their costs low even though they are higher than WN.

So basically, every airline is a LCC in one way or another.

Well Aer Lingus is worse than most other transatlantic airlines in every way possible.

How?

Of most other major transatlantic airlines (AF, BA, LH, LX, and VS to name a few) EI is the most "cheap" and therefore the least "premium." If I'm not mistaken they've been aggressively marketing themselves as a discount alternative to other transatlantic carriers with relatively fewer frills and an ugly cabin design, all in the name of low prices. Not even BA, who's already been cutting back on frills for some time, would match how low EI has gone in the name of profits at the expense of quality. If I ever fly to Europe, I would NEVER fly on EI even if their fares were within my reach. To make matters worse, they're not even a member of any airline alliance. I'd rather pay extra to get better product and service on another airline.

Spirit offers connecting flights, has hubs.

Yes the other two don't, but you can book two flights and make the connect.

Can you actually answer my point above?

Tough luck if your first flight is delayed and you miss your connection by booking two flights on Ryanair or easyJet, because I heard you'll have to buy another ticket at your expense if that ever happens.

I know Spirit does connecting flights at their major bases i.e. Fort Lauderdale, and Detroit.

Sure, but that is what trip insurance is for. Also going to EVER answer my post above?

I can sit here and prove that you know nothing about aviation, are stuck up and don't know how to travel at all for the entire day.

Aer Lingus won't provide you with blankets or pillows on transatlantic routes if you pay a non-refundable economy fare, for example.
