Maybe we can create a world where all of those restrictions are in place so people like you guys who want to go for maximum realism can and enjoy the game that way. The fact of the matter is that some people, like me, enjoy making a version of a spamline (not quite the annoying max economy configurations and no IFE IFS but not a realistic airline either). I don't think putting restrictions on all the worlds would be a good thing and it would hurt the game and I probably wouldn't play it anymore. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
The only problem I have is people using the hub/connecting passengers bug, where you can set super high prices, make a place a hub, and overfill the demand to make ENORMOUS profits. I tried it with one route and made the equivalent of 20x the amount of money with that one route than with 20 equivalent routes under normal conditions. In my opinion, this is exploiting the system and these players should face a penalty, because it is impossible for the rest of us in the world to catch up to them.
The other thing that would help a realistic game is to not allow people to play an unlimited number of airlines. A limit on 1 would be just fine.
I agree that it would be good perhaps to offer both types of worlds. Some where like now there are virtually no restrictions on how unrealistic you can get.,
For example I just looked at a random route in SC between 2 cities where both airports have a gate cost of less then $1000 and there are 51000 seats flown per day between the 2.
This basically just proves the game is broken.(in my opinion).
You can't really fault people for doing what the game allows them to do however. The game needs to improve to stop
this kind of thing. Personally I can't for the world understand why someone finds playing the game that way is enjoyable, but that's another matter.
