Well the title is self explanatory, i feel having a percentage of the aircraft price knocked off when the aircraft in its final year would be a good idea, Anyone agree?

Totally agree on this! it should be cheaper to do this, like in the last year or two of production

Then people will wait until the CL-44's last year of production and order 10,000.

I believe this has been tried before.

True, true. I guess that would happen and it isn't a good idea.

I support this... Especially for airlines which want to continue using a specific aircraft. Obviously, for the CL-44 there are exceptions but it allows for airlines that want to continue to use a specific aircraft long after it has been used.

True, and this discount happens IRL. Delta got a huge discount on their A321 planes because Airbus was about to switch over to neo.

Unrealistic restrictions yet again

Yes but even though the 757-200 stop being produced in 2004, airlines continue to use it.

Just because an airline stops producing aircraft doesn't mean that airlines won't continue to use it, because it's more convenient for an airline to continue to use the 757 than to switch to a replacement like the Dreamliner or other which could replace the 757.
