Ha, 3 million try 4 billion on aircraft alone. It takes money to make money, so you've gotta spend a lot in order to grow. During the startup phase it is very common for airlines to dip into the negatives during paydays and monthly costs.

And 63k is not very good. With your first route, you should try to go for at least 150k. And once you get a second aircraft, depending on competition, that 150k should be doubled.

Also if you ever feel in doubt you can always take out loans in the airline finance tab.

Well for SFO if I have an aircraft like an md-80, a320, or 737 I would route to another large airport in the West such as PHX or SAN. Somewhere that's just close enough for 3-4 daily flights (21-28 weekly) which should make at least 100k depending on your cabin.

And since your airline is in R5, you should probably stay away from large airports like SFO because R5 has a lot of spam airlines based in the US. And SFO is a particular hotspot because of its easy acces to transpacific routes.

Don't buy planes when you're just starting. When you start, lease planes, it's a lot cheaper.

Lease aircraft until you have a fleet of around 100 aircraft minimum

With a Boeing 737 as first aircraft you can make 400 - 500k per day (DOP) easily.

I got a regional LCC. Goes bankrupt everyday. But I don't care; I got a DOP of almost 10 mil.
