As we've said elsewhere, we won multiple rounds before ISAD strategy. 

Given that you have no trophies, we're guessing you're one of these morons who thinks it's a great idea to buy the longest-range planes and doesn't even know the yield/distance curves across the game. Correct me if I'm wrong - can you describe them?

maybe, just MAYBE, some people find joy in creating an airline network with global destinations instead of trying to get as much r/t profit out of every flight as possible.

 

Also a yield distance curve describes the income per mile in respect to the distance of the route.

I have better things to do than to gather the data to determine the relationships presented by those curves

No that's not what that exists for. The World's Fastest Airline Challenge doesn't lend itself at all to players using realistic setups.

I never claimed it was. But if you can figure out how to create an entire airline of SSTs in a realistic setup, by all means take the challenge!

And no, I just don't find it fun playing that way. I get more satisfaction from working out strategies (using realistic setups), deciding what aircraft to use and what not to use, and seeing it pan out. Sometimes I've done things that weren't such good ideas (e.g. I'll never use A340-500s again), but that's part and parcel of playing the game.

 

My last airline netted me a top 20 finish in the rankings and I was perfectly happy with that. Spamlining? That would kinda feel like cheating to me.
