No. It is already too easy to expand in the game now and unable to repay in advance is a factor in discouraging players from taking bonds. If nothing is stopping anyone from taking bonds, it will just become a routine rather than an option.

Ability to pay off bonds sooner by manual payments

Guys, bonds don't work like that. They are not loans. Bonds are financial papers, like shares, that the company sells to investors who will pay a value, say 10.000 dollars and the company will than pay back this 10.000 dollars back in the next 5, 10 or 20 years (each bond has a set period of repayment) with interest (yield) that could fluctuate with time or not. Bonds that are likely to be paid on time normally have low yields while the ones that are not so likely have high yields. When they are negotiated in the market (IRL), the yield of the bond reflects the ability of the company or government to pay that bond.

TL;DR: Bonds are not loans. The game bonds work like they should because they are not loans.

I agree 100%. The inability to pay off bonds has killed me before. I really wish that thsi was a feature. If you don't want to call it a bond, make loans.

True but there are callable bonds. There should be the ability to call the bond at say 105% of par. We should have the option to issue callable and non-callable bonds. The callable ones come with a higher rate and you would be required to call the bond at a premium like 105% of par.

Since we're talking finance. The calculation method for airline valuation should also be tweaked.

I'd also like to see fluctuating fuel prices and the ability to hedge. Along those same line having the ability to keep your airline private or bring it public would also be a nice addition. Give up some ownership in exchange for capital to grow even more.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, just think some new additions or tweaks would be nice.

I am behind this one hundred percent. I was just thinking about this while one of my failed airlines was diving to oblivion in part thanks to bond payments.
